Description
Idly is a traditional South Indian food made from a fermented batter of rice and black lentils. The batter is poured into small, round molds and then steamed until fully cooked. The resulting cakes are soft and fluffy, with a slightly fermented flavor. Idly is a popular breakfast food in South India and is often served with a variety of chutneys and sambar. It is also a staple food in Sri Lanka. They are made with minimal ingredients and have a very low fat content.
